The Sangareddy Additional District Court on Tuesday sentenced a man to five years in jail for growing 39 ganja trees amid his crops in 2019.

The man, a farmer, M Gousuddin, a resident of Tangadapally in



Munipally mandal, was caught growing ganja by excise and police officials.

After listening to arguments from both sides, the judge proclaimed the verdict. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him.
