Farmers stage protest in dry paddy fields in Khammam

Farmers and BRS leaders staged a protest in dried up paddy fields at Nagilgonda of Chintakani mandal in the district on Friday demanding to release water from the NSP canal immediately.

Pullaiah said that paddy fields were drying up across the district as water was not released for the past 22 days. If water was not released for another four days, the paddy fields would be withered completely and the farmers would suffer huge losses.
