A Telugu man, Ramesh Babu Bolla, 47, and his daughter Chaitanya Bolla, 21, were killed in a mishap in North Phoenix, Arizona in the US on Sunday.
According to information available from the friends of Ramesh Babu, the father-daughter duo were returning home from a grocery around 7pm on Sunday when a SUV, allegedly driven rashly, rammed their car, killing both of them on the spot. The details of the 21-year-old youngster who was driving the SUV are yet to be released by the
police.
As per local media reports, the Bollas were pulling out of a private driveway, trying to make a left turn, when the suspect, a 21-year-old man whose name has not been released, was southbound and hit the Bollas.The Bollas were both pronounced dead at the scene.
“Investigators processed the suspect for impairment,” Detective Marianne Ramirez told the media on Monday morning. “Impairment and speed may have been a factor in this collision,” police said.
