Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced on Thursday that the fee reimbursement arrears for the year 2015-16 would be cleared by March 31.
Replying to members on the issue that was taken up for debate for second consecutive day in the State Legislative Assembly, he said an all-party meeting would be convened to discuss the issue and plug the loopholes in the system for ensuring prompt payment of the dues.
He assured the House that
he would take all necessary steps to instill confidence among the students on the reimbursement issue. The reimbursement scheme would be continued the way it was implemented in the Congress regime in the undivided State. He reiterated that there was no scope for reimbursing the fee for the same academic years as the students had to fulfill the attendance norms and clear the examination to merit consideration for fee reimbursement.
