In Telangana, about four lakh people have been found to be suffering from mild symptoms of COVID-19 through the door-to-door fever survey in the first phase, conducted in some districts of the state. Health officials informed that over four thousand people have been found with the infection during the nine-day fever survey.
Officials said that they have examined 90 lakh households and 6.58 lakh people in the out-patient wards of various hospitals. The authorities have also
distributed the isolation kits to three lakh 97 thousand people even if they had no virus symptoms during the fever survey. The survey was held from 21st to 29th of January.
Meanwhile, the officials have taken up the second phase of fever survey two days back in some more districts including Jagtial, Sangareddy, Kamareddy, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Wanaparthy, Mancherial, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Kothagudem.
