Fighter Cock to be auctioned by RTC Officials at Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Unable to look after a fighter rooster that was left abandoned by a passenger in a bus, officials from TSRTC Karimnagar region have decided to get rid of it by conducting an auction at 3 pm in bus depot-2 here on Friday.

Officials said that the rooster was kept in a basket and left on the seat of a Warangal-Vemulawada bus four days back. This was noticed by a passenger who informed the conductor. Unable to locate the owner



of the rooster, the conductor handed over the bird to officials at Karimnagar bus depot-2.

When no one came to claim the rooster even after four days, the officials decided to go for an open auction.

They said that the owner feared being caught by the police as the rooster, weighing about 6 kg, would be used in the cockfight competitions during Sankranti.
