Finance Minister T. Harish Rao expressed serious doubts about the impact of the "unusual" and "non-feasible" assurances on voters.

Lashing out at the duplication of schemes, he accused the Congress of adopting ideas and programs that were successfully initiated by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, in states ruled by them. Questioning the national status of the party, he ridiculed the state-specific manifesto announced at the public meeting in the city outskirts on Sunday.

Harish Rao challenged the Congress to commit itself on the implementation of its promises. He wondered why the party’s central leadership had failed to set its own house in order.

Turning to Karnataka, Rao accused the Congress of failing to fulfil promises made ahead of the



Assembly elections. This was particularly with regard to problems faced by farmers and industrialists.

He wanted to know if the Congress would implement schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, and Dalit Bandhu at the national level.

Harish Rao expressed apprehensions at the harassment of BRS leaders by the ED and the CBI and sought to know the status of the National Herald case. Speaking in the same vein, he contended that the absence of cases against Congress leaders in Telangana state was an indication of a potential electoral alliance between the BJP and Congress.

The minister accused the Congress of introducing the ‘scam culture’ in the country and labelled them as ‘Scongress’.
