A major fire broke out in a car showroom at Madhapur on Thursday night. No casualties were reported, but vehicles were damaged in the blaze.
A short circuit is suspected to have led to the fire, which erupted from the showroom that sells multi-brand automobiles.
The security guards noticed thick smoke from the showroom and immediately alerted the fire department and
police.
The showroom authorities, too, were informed.
Fire engines rushed to the spot and doused the flames. The estimation of the property damaged was to be known.
As the showroom is located on the main road, traffic congestion was reported in the vicinity.
The Madhapur police are investigating.
