Fire breaks out at theatre in KPHB

A fire broke out in Shiva Parvathi Theatre at KPHB here on Monday morning. No casualties were reported and a short circuit is suspected to have led to the fire,  according to police and fire department officials.

The local residents who noticed the fire and flames emanating from the premises, alerted the fire department and police.

Officials from both fire department and the police



reached the spot and started fighting the fire. Fire engines were rushed and the fire was doused in an hour.

A short circuit from the main switch board is suspected to be the cause,  officials said.

“The total worth of the property damaged is yet to be estimated,” he said.

The KPHB police are investigating.
