Fire breaks out in a nine-storey building in Somajiguda

Fire fighters were battling with flames that were spreading fast in a nine-storeyed building of Hotel Katriya in Somajiguda on Tuesday morning.There are no reports of casualties so far and officials monitoring the fire fighting operations said there were about 50 guests in the hotel when fire broke out. They were not sure on cause of



fire. 

 Eye witnesses said flames were leaping to the seventh floor. Fire fighters could be seen atop adjacent buildings trying to tie ropes to facilitate shifting any guests from the building on fire.Billows of thick smoke could be seen from far and fire tenders from nearby centres were racing to Somajiguda.
