Fire engulfed a coach of Chennai-Hyderabad Charminar Express halted at platform number 6 in Nampally railway station on Tuesday. Compartment S2 of Charminar Express caught fire.
No casualties have been reported as all the passengers deboarded the train. Short circuit is believed to be the cause of the fire. Heavy smoke could
be seen billowing out of the 2nd coach after the train arrived on platform number 6 from Chennai at around 10 am.
The railway staff swung into action and separated the coach from the train and informed fire tenders who rushed to the station and put out the fire after much difficulty.
