First batch of Haj pilgrims leaves for Makkah

Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, flagged off the first batch of 450 Haj pilgrims from Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad on Sunday.Mr. Mahmood Ali told that this year, 2700 Haj pilgrims will proceed to Saudi Arabia from Telangana. He hoped that Govt. of India would increase the quota for Haj pilgrims this year. 

Present on this occasion were Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Mohammed Saleem, Chairman of Wakf Board, Mr. Farooq Husain, MLC, Mr. Baba Fasihuddin, Dy. Mayor of GHMC, Mr. Akbar Husain, Chairman, Minorities Finance Corporation, Mr. Waheed Ahmed, Advocate, member of Wakf Board, Mufti Khaleel Ahmed, Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Special Officer of Telangana Haj Committee and others.
