The first batch of 420 pilgrims belonging to Karnataka and Maharashtra left for the Haj ritual from the city in the early hours of Thursday.

Mohammed Mahmood Ali handed over the boarding pass of flights to the Haj pilgrims.

A total of 8,340 Haj pilgrims belonging to Telangana and some districts of AP, Karnataka and Maharashtra will leave for the pilgrimage from Hyderabad airport.
