All preparations for Haj Camp 2018 have been completed by the Telangana State Haj Committee with cooperation of around 28 Union and State government departments and organisations, according to a press release.
The first special Haj flight will take off from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamsabad on August 1 at 7.30 am and Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali will flag off the first batch of pilgrims at Haj Camp and the Haj terminal.
Government officials, dignitaries and
members of the Haj committee will be present on both the occasions, the release said.
This year 25 chartered flights of Saudi Arabian Airlines will carry 7,232 pilgrims to Makkah enroute Jeddah till August 16 and of them, 4,390 are from Telangana, 1,725 from Andhra Pradesh, and 1,168 from Karnataka.
The pilgrims, clad in Ehram (two white unsewn sheets of cloths) will leave the Haj Camp for airport by Special RTC buses in the early hours of August 1.
