Flyover works undertaken as part of SRDP should be completed on war footing: GHMC Commissioner

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner K Ilambarithi directed the officials to complete the flyover works taken up as part of the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) on a war footing.

The GHMC Commissioner along with Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) Commissioner, Sarfaraz Ahmed had inspected the works of Shilpa Layout Phase 2 flyover and Aramgarh-Zoo Park flyover.

According to a press release issued by the GHMC on Wednesday, Ilambarithi instructed the officials concerned to complete land acquisition for Aramgarh – Zoopark flyover works at the earliest.



Railway officials were also requested to complete the Shastripuram Railway over Bridge works without any delay.

When the engineering officials explained that the work of Shilpa Layout Phase 2 flyover was being delayed due to the 33 KV power line, the Commissioner ordered the power department officials to immediately remove the power line. The engineering officers were directed to complete the incomplete flyover works on war footing.

The Commissioner was accompanied by Project CE Devanand, Zonal Commissioners Upender Reddy, Venkanna, Deputy EE Harish apart from Railway and electricity department officials.
