Siddipet: Former Dommat MLA D Ramachandra Reddy (88) passed away at his home in Hyderabad on Sunday night due to age-related illness.

Reddy won as MLA on TDP ticket in 1985 when former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao also won the election from Siddipet for the first time. They used to move closely when Reddy, a native of Kondapak in Siddipet district,



was active in politics.

The former MLA also worked with the Indian Navy before contesting the elections. Former Minister T Harish Rao expressed shock over the demise of the former MLA. He sent condolence messages to Ramachandra Reddy’s family members. Rao recalled Reddy’s contribution to the development of Dubbak.
