Former BRS minister A. Chandrasekhar joined the party at Gandhi Bhavan with a bevy of his supporters in attendance.
"I welcome Chandrasekhar to our party fold. He played a key role in the Telangana movement," said TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy.
"Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao sold the outer ring road that was built by us for Rs 7,500 crore. We built many irrigation projects like Nagarjunasagar. Despite spending Rs 1 lakh crore, around 22 packages are still pending in Kaleshwaram project. The Chief Minister can enter Kamareddy only after bringing Godavari waters to the area," Revanth Reddy said.
Charging the Chief Minister with dumping communists owing to his relationship
with the BJP, he said, "The BJP, BRS and the AIMIM are one and the same. Those who thought the BJP will fight the BRS should join us. All three have to be fought and conquered. We will waive off Rs 2 lakh farm loans once we come to power and fill two lakh vacancies within a year. Insurance limit under Aarogyasri will be increased to Rs 5 lakh and we will give Rs 5 lakh to every poor person who wants to construct a house."
Meanwhile, he examined the venue of the Chevella meeting, slated for August 26.
Later, he called on former minister Gurmitkal Narsi Reddy, who suffered a brain-stroke, at his residence in Bomraspeta mandal, Kodangal constituency.
