Former MLA and film actress Jayasudha on Thursday joined the YSR Congress. Jaya Sudha met Andhra Pradesh opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday at his Lotus Pond residence.
“It is like coming back to home. YSRC will win the upcoming Andhra elections. I am not going to contest in the upcoming election and will follow the orders of the party president,” Jayasudha said. She had earlier won the elections in
2009 from Secunderabad MLA for Congress.
Jayasudha had joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 2016.
Sources said that other TDP leaders such as J C Diwkar Reddy from Anantapur and senior party leader Dadi Veerabhadra Rao are also contemplating joining the YSR Congress. Two MPs and several MLAs from TD have already joined the party.
