Officers are on high alert following reports of four cholera cases in the city.
The four cases are form Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts. Dr K Shankar, Superintendent of Fever Hospital, confirming the reports, said there was no reason to panic as every year cholera cases were sporadically reported, but in the last few years the number of cases had come down drastically.

ago, Fever Hospital used to get close to 70 cases, but last year the number
came down to 25.
The doctors at Fever hospital conducted tests and found vibrio cholera. The four patients are stable now, said doctors Vibrio cholera can cause diarrhoea and vomiting, but the patients had not complained of vomiting and they would recover in a day or two, said Dr Shanker.
