Four of the crest gates of the Nagarjuna Sagar project have been lifted on Wednesday with fresh inflows adding to its storage levels.
Heavy rains were reported in the catchment area for the past two days. The inflows stand at 76000 cusecs and the discharges were being
maintained proportionately.
The present storage has touched the gross storage capacity of 312.045 tmc. The upstream Srisailam project is also receiving close to one lakh cusecs as inflows with the gross storage capacity and current storage standing at 215 tmc and 210 tmc respectively.
