Four injured in bus-lorry collision on Bangalore national highway

Three passengers and a bus driver suffered injuries after the bus in which they were traveling in rammed a container lorry from behind on the highway near Madanapalle under Shamshabad police station limits in the wee hours of Wednesday. 

According to the police, the incident took place around 5.20 a.m. when the private bus, which was heading from Bengaluru towards Hyderabad, rammed the lorry.“The lorry broke down abruptly



and stopped in the middle of the road. Though the bus driver saw this, he could not stop the bus in time, resulting in the accident,” a police official said.

Passersby shifted the passengers and the driver to a nearby private hospital and their condition was stated to be normal. 

Shamshabad police have registered a case and investigation is on. The injured persons are yet to be identified.
