Five link roads that connect vital road stretches in and around the IT hub were inaugurated by Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister KT Rama Rao here on Monday.
“After this project started, our engineers are getting calls from different parts of the country including Mumbai seeking inputs on the link roads. As far as I know, no other Municipal Corporation has taken up such a project at this massive level,” the Minister said, adding that so far 16 link roads in the city were already developed while six more would be developed in a month. He also said Phase-II of the works to connect the missing links and to develop roads had already commenced.

A total of 13 roads running up to 21.98 km will be developed with Rs 232.62 crore in Phase-II,” the Minister said, adding that all the roads would be developed in a phased manner and that the details would be uploaded on the GHMC
