Union railway minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu launched hi-speed Wi-Fi facility for passengers at the Secunderabad and Hyderabad stations on Thursday.
The minister, who launched various other rail infra development works through remote video link from New Delhi, inaugurated a renovated MMTS booking office on Platform No 6/7 at Secunderabad station, another foot overbridge at the Hyderabad station and LED
lighting at MMTS stations.He also commissioned a 500 kwp grid-connected solar power system and at Secunderabad station and extension of the Karimnagar-Lingampet Jagitial DMU service up to Morthad.
He said it would provide uninterrupted Internet connectivity to passengers waiting for their trains at the two major stations in the city. Around 104 stations have been provided with the facility, he noted.
