Mon 26 Nov 2018, 12:04:11
Free public WiFi is now available for 45 minutes at the following stations - Miyapur, JNTU, KPHB, Kukatpally, Balanagar, Moosapet, Bharath Nagar, Erragadda, ESI Hospital, SR Nagar, Ameerpet and Nagole. As a project, L&THMRL, powered by ACT has set up the WiFi connections at more than 12 metro stations. The user has to create login credentials while travelling and then use the WiFi experience at the metro station.

Those

wanting to use the facility have to go through a one-time registration process. The facility would be exclusive to commuters and can be availed only in ticketed areas. A passcode will be sent to the number which needs to be keyed in for the net connection. So far, the installation has been completed in more than 12 stations. The service seemed to be same across the entire station even including inside the metro.
