In the Railway Budget for 2016-17 presented to the Parliament today,  funds were  allotted  to some of the projects  in the two Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.  Freight line between Vijayawada and Kharagpur; Trade corridor between Nagapur-Vijayawada;  inclusion of  Tirupathi Railway Station among the spiritual stations proposed for   development  and modernization;, and extension of Hyderabad suburban net work  in cooperation with  the Telangana State, were among them.




style="font-size:13pt;color:black">          Funds allocated to the new rail way lines in the two Telugu states are:  Rs. 200 crore for the  Kotipalli-Narasapuram line;  Rs. 50 crore for Pithapuram-Kakinada line; Rs. 114 crore for the third line between Kazipet-Vijayawada; Rs.70 crore to the Peddapalli-Nizamabad; Rs.20 crore to the Macherla-Nalgonda line; Rs.180 crore to the Munirabad-Mahabubnagarline; Rs.5 crore for ROB construction between Kazipet and Warangal; Rs.80 crore for doubling works between Secendrabad-Mahabubnagr; Rs.5 crore for  Sub-way construction between Peddapalli-Jagithyala; and  Rs.15 crore for the Raghavapuram-Mandamarri line.
