The junior doctors at Gandhi Hospital on Friday morning have conditionally called off their strike and have resumed their duties with immediate effect.
‘Taking public health into consideration especially in view of the pandemic we are fighting and trusting the Health Minister’s reassuring words, Juda has decided to conditionally call off the strike and resume duties with immediate effect,” they said.
The major demands put forward by medicos included
resuming non-covid health care services at Gandhi Hospital, decentralisation of management of SARI and Covid-19 positive cases, recruitment of doctors, nurses and providing SPF protection at all Government teaching hospitals.
The medicos have urged the Health Minister, Eatala Rajender to personally involve himself in addressing their demands, so that they don’t have to boycott duties again in a more intensive way in a fortnight.
