GHMC chief inspects sanitation facilities in Charminar

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner B Janardhan Reddy on Monday inspected the SHE toilets and sanitation facilities in Charminar.He also visited the play grounds and sports complexes in the South Zone .

The civic chief interacted with officials and took the foot count and feedback on SHE toilets. “More than 2,000 people use the SHE toilet in Charminar every month as it is near the heritage sight,“ said

The SHE toilets have been especially designed for women and have auto flush unlike other public toilets. It also has a sanitary napkin vending machine and napkin incinerator.

The civic body has so far set up 10 SHE toilets in city of which eight are already in use .It is now planning to set up another 50 SHE toilets with the help of corporates.
