The GHMC contract and outsourcing workers and staff demanded the regularisation of services of all staff working in various wings of the corporation including sanitation and entomology.
They also demanded that the staff should be paid salaries on the first day of the month. They said the agreement with Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited (renamed Re Sustainability) should be cancelled as it was costing the GHMC
heavily.
They were speaking at a meeting presided over by Adil Shariff, president of the Intuc-affiliated Municipal Sahakar Mazdoor Union.
TJS founder president Prof. M. Kodandaram, State Intuc leaders Vijay Kumar Yadav, Venkateshwar Reddy, Narasimha Reddy, Manda Ravi, Jagan Mohan Reddy, members of Municipal Employees Union and GHMC Transport Section leaders Zaheeruddin and Rafi were present.
