GHMC eases Building permissions

In order to facilitating speedy disposal of building permission and occupancy certificates to the citizens, the Civic body has given permissions to six of the  Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation zonal offices to issue the same.

Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy issued orders delegating powers to zonal commissioners to issue building permissions and occupancy certificates for all building above stilt +3 and up to stilt +5 floors in site area of up to 1,000 square



metres. This order would come into effect from Monday, said officials.

GHMC has decentralised the approval of building permissions for residential buildings and apartments in the site area below 1,000 sq mts to the zonal offices to help people avoid  making rounds to the GHMC head office.

The building permissions will be given to only those cases without  involving road widening relaxations.
