GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore yesterday directed all the senior officials of the line departments to take up all works well in advance for the smooth conduct of Ganesh Immersion for the ensuing Ganesh festival which is scheduled to be held on September 13.
Dana Kishore instructed that all the works should be completed by September 10 with special directions to the ZCs to start up the works pertaining to Ganesh festival on priority. He directed the officials and Zonal Commissioners to conduct special meetings in a day or two with all the DCs, senior officials of line departments of their jurisdiction to collect all the necessary information required for the conduct of Ganesh Procession by Thursday so that the Commissioner will have a special meeting with Commissioners of Police of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda to have a detailed interaction about the works to be taken up on priority.
The Commissioner said a review meeting with the organizers of Ganesh Utsav Committee will be conducted on Saturday at 3pm before that all the connected officials must get the required information to keep readily for special interaction on Saturday morning at 10am. He also instructed the officials to inform the other connected officials of their jurisdiction to attend the meeting which is scheduled to be held on September 1 with all relevant information.
Dana Kishore, Anil Kumar, IPS, Addl. Commissioner (Traffic), Chowhan, Addl. Commissioner Law & Order, Cyberabad, along with senior officials of various Government
heads of departments like HMWS&SB, HMDA, Irrigation, R&B, Police, Electricity and other line departments held a review meeting with regard to Ganesh Immersion at GHMC Head office.
Chowhan said the Ganesh immersion processions will start from third day of the festival in this regard all necessary arrangements like road repairing works, sanitation, proper illumination, repairing pot holes, removal of garbage and dustbins at the enroute for safety purpose etc., at the enroute procession well in advance for the convenience of the citizens who are participating in the Ganesh procession. He further stated that on 9 th day of the Ganesh festival the Moharrum will also fall on the same day so lot of precautionary measures have to be taken up by all the departments for the convenience of the citizens.
Anil Kumar, IPS, Addl. Commissioner (Traffic) the heads of the line departments must take up the works pertaining to their departments like shifting of electrical poles, pruning of trees, over head electrical cables, proper illumination, uninterrupted power supply, barricading, removal of debris, at the enroute of the Ganesh immersion procession.
The Commissioner, GHMC directed the Addl. Commissioner (IT) and also director Vigilance & Enforcement to coordinate with all the line department officials with regard to control commanding system and also special emergency teams wherever the need arises should be properly taken care for the rescue operations, he added.
