GHMC holds meeting on disaster management

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation held a disaster preparedness meet with heads of line departments to set up emergency protocols and precautionary measures for natural disasters, for convenience of citizens in the near future.

The meet was headed by managing director, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Dana Kishore with senior officials from Cyberabad Traffic, Met departmet, Telangana State Development Planning Society, Police, fire department,



Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation and revenue department present.

All line departments will contribute funds to Disaster Management Cell, GHMC to tackle emergency situations. DMC will procure modern equipment like life detection equipments, IR cams, etc. The depts will also depute 10 officers to form quick reaction teams to attend to emergency situations.
