GHMC sanctions monthly pension to former city players

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has released funds to give pension to city atheletes. The orders were passed on Friday sanctioning a sum of Rs 10,000 and Rs 7,500 to nine players who represented the country in their heydays.

Swamy, national kabaddi player A C Mallesham and another international G Vasudev Yadav were released a sum or Rs 10,000. City’s former national kho-kho player Chandra Prakash Biradar and international tennikoit player Sameera Bagum were sanctioned Rs 7,500.

The GHMC, in a press release, said that the amount of Rs 10, 20,000 has been released for the year April 2017 to March 2018.
