GHMC sanitation staff timing changed

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Friday issued orders instructing field level sanitation workers to discharge their duties only between 5 am and 12 noon due to temperatures consistently remaining over 40 degree celsius in Hyderabad.

Following the directions from Minister for Municipal Administration



and Urban Development (MA&UD) K T Rama Rao, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy issued orders modifying the duty timings for sanitation workers.

The usual timing for the GHMC sanitary workers is between 6 am and 2 pm and after the special instructions, the work hours have been changed to 5 am and 12 noon.
