GHMC today began to conduct repairs of the roads damaged badly due to heavy rains ravaging the city. It was estimated to spend Rs 100 cr to complete the repair of the roads in the twin cities. The GHMC stated that they are pressing in the staff to conduct repairs for roads and nalas besides
attending to water marooned areas. The officials wrote a letter to DTCP stating that they need 40 personnel to conduct demolition drive for illegal structures abutting nalas and low-lying areas. Town planning wing has only 214 personnel against actual requirement of 1215 the GHMC informed.
