GHMC sweeper dies in road accident in old city, five others injured

A GHMC sweeper died while five of her colleagues suffered injuries in a head on collision between two auto-rickshaws at Shahalibanda in old city on Wednesday morning.

P Jamuna Bai (45), a resident of RN Colony, Falaknuma, along with five colleagues, was on their way to attend to their duties at Aghapura in an



auto-rickshaw.

“When the auto reached Shah Ghouse hotel, another auto-rickshaw coming in the opposite direction rammed at a high speed into the auto carrying Jamuna Bai. Due to the impact of the collision, all the women passengers fell on the road and sustained injuries. Jamuna Bai was rushed to hospital where doctors pronounced her dead,” said Shahalibanda sub inspector, S Seshu.
