GHMC targets Rs.95 crore in tax by year end

GHMC has set a target to collect Rs 95 crore property tax by December 31. For 2018-19, the GHMC has fixed Rs 1,500-crore property tax target of which it has collected Rs 745 crore. Of this, Rs 436 crore has come from the early bird scheme.

Over the past three months, a very small amount of



property tax was collected, with the staff busy with election work. GHMC commissioner M. Dana Kishore on Thursday issued directions to deputy commissioners to review property tax targets to be collected every week as the model code of conduct had ended.
