For obtaining the fire No Objection Certificate (NOC) for buildings as high as 15 metres in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits, owners need not run to the civic body’s fire wing section as the corporation has introduced online services for obtaining fire NOC. As part of improving the service delivery to citizens and bring in transparency and accountability by reducing human interference, GHMC on Monday introduced online services for obtaining the NOC from GHMC’s Fire Prevention Wing within seven working days provided all documents are in place.
The online applications will be submitted by applicants
duly registering themselves and paying a fire precaution fee of `10 per sq.ft through credit or debit cards. “The applicant will be informed about the state of the applications through an SMS alert from time to time. The Fire NOC will be issued online,” Bhagwan Reddy added. For buildings above 18 metres high, builders will have to approach Telangana Fire Service department for getting the NOC. Before taking up the construction, owners will have to obtain provisional NOC after the completion of constructions and installing of fire safety equipments on the premises, fire NOC will be issued, he added.
