GHMC to issue health cards to employees

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to issue health cards to its employees in a month and has finalised tenders accordingly. GHMC Commissioner, M Dana Kishore said that efforts were being made to issue health cards to around 5,000 permanent employees and to their five family members to avail them medical treatment of Rs 3 lakh per year.

union here on Wednesday, demands such as issuing of health cards, not allotting sections even after promotions, confirmation of the seniority and sanctioning GHMC canteen to their union were discussed.

The Commissioner said that issuance of health cards was in the final stages while promotions and allotment to required sections pertaining to SC employees will be reviewed shortly and decision taken.
