GHMC to launch mobile polling station

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is introducing mobile polling stations, which will be a replica of the conventional polling station, to demonstrate the entire voting exercise to the voters.

The mobile polling station will be equipped with all the materials, including the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) system and staff involved in the voting duty. These stations will have five tables, including Booth Level Officer with



voters list, indelible ink, voter slip, control unit and VVPAT system.

The idea is to demonstrate the entire exercise of voting to the residents and help them clear their doubts, if any, in the process. Initially, one mobile polling station will be launched and it will cover different areas in all the 15 assembly constituencies of Hyderabad district, said GHMC Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner D. Harichandana.
