The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is all set to launch a new integrated Mobile App ‘My GHMC’ on July 15. Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) KT Rama Rao would launch the app at GHMC head office.
The five integrated services to be provided through the mobile app include payment of property tax, trade license fee, view status of Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) applications, downloading of birth and death certificates for records digitally signed on GHMC server and submitting of civic related grievances like manholes, potholes, open dumping points,
streetlights, etc.
GHMC additional commissioner (IT) K Surendra Mohan told that GHMC will launch the mobile app so that citizens can post all their civic grievances easily. What’s more, they can even add pictures to their complaints through smart phones.
The main objective is to bring transparency, avoid making rounds to the GHMC offices and bring down interaction with lower rung staff and check corruption.
Residents can download applications from play store and using their unique identification number (UID) can access all records pertaining to the services being provided by the GHMC.
