The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will conduct an LRS mela in the GHMC zonal offices on November 16 and 17. Out of the 85,398 LRS applications, more than 30,000 applicants have submitted incomplete documents. In the GHMC south zone alone, 4,000 applications are pending as they did not furnish all the documents.
The civic body has decided to clear 150 applications per day. The applications wherein shortfall intimation letters are issued and fee payment is pending shall be targeted for disposal and the applications coming with shortfall document shall be addressed. The same shall be uploaded at zonal office website
and processed instantly. “If fee is paid by the applicants, proceedings letters shall be issued instantly,” said a GHMC official.
In the GHMC south zone, 94 applications are pending. The officials present at the zonal offices are instructed to coordinate with Centre for Good Governance (CGG) for informing the applications through sms to attend the mela. The date and time will be mentioned in the sms. The hourly progress of the disposal of applications during meal will be submitted to the GHMC city planner of east zone.
Out of the 85,337 LRS applications, 9,542 are pending.
