GHMC to set up more weather stations

The GHMC is going to set up new weather stations for every four square kilometre area in Hyderabad city. A meeting regarding this will be held with technical experts belonging to the India Meteorological Department and Telangana Development Planning Society on Friday.

Currently, there are 34 weather



stations in the GHMC limits and they study parameters like temperature, rainfall, pressure, humidity, wind speed and direction. Telangana Development Planning Society CEO, SK Meera, told, “We have 865 weather stations across Telangana. New stations will be set up in districts.” IMD director Y K Reddy told.
