GHMC Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy warned of heavy fines and even cancellation of trade licences and other permissions if their establishment pumped water on the main roads.
Addressing a review meeting of officials of the engineering wing, the GHMC Commissioner directed them to take preventive measures to prevent stagnation of water on main roads.
He asked the
officials to coordinate with the Police department to utilise the CCTV cameras to trace those who are pumping out water on roads. He said that the CCTV cameras should also be used to check encroachments on footpaths and road dividers.
Janardhan Reddy directed all the AEs, DEs, EEs to conduct regular checks in their jurisdiction and personally inspect the repair works.
