GHMC yet to distribute voter slips

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Municipal Corporation is yet to distribute as many as 9,60,221 voter slips to the voters residing in 15 Assembly constituencies in the city. 

The civic body has distributed 30,97,267 slips out of 40,57,488 voters till Sunday.

With as many as 3,866 polling stations, the booth-level officers concerned will distribute voter slips at their doorsteps from November 27 till December 2.

However, the corporation official said that it would



distribute until voter in the city has voter slip to exercise their franchise on December 7. 

A senior GHMC official said that the remaining voter slips would be distributed by Tuesday and every voter in the city would get them. The GHMC official said that the citizens can also make use of their voter identity cards to exercise their franchise. 

Besides this, the corporation official said as many as 1,91,510 new EPIC cards and 1,81,587 cards were distributed.
