GHMC's next year budget approved

The GHMC’s standing committee approved a Rs 11,538-crore budget for 2019-20. The draft Bud-get for 2019-20 is Rs 6,150 crore and the proposed Budget for major projects is Rs 5,388 crore. The committee also approved the 14th Finance Commission for 2018-19. The committee, which met under the chairmanship of mayor B Rammohan, approved the proposal to build a steel bridge from Indira Park to Nallakunta via Hindi Mahavidyalaya.

The services



of about 250 outsourcing employees who are working as engineers has been ext-ended for another year.

GHMC commissioner M. Dana Kishore told the standing committee that a full discussion on the Budget proposals will be discussed at the general body meeting on Jan. 10 and Budget sent by Feb. 20 for the government for approval. This was his first appearance before the committee as GHMC commissioner.
