Kothagudem: The water level in river Godavari has crossed the third warning level of 53 feet at Bhadrachalam in the district on Friday.

The gauge reading at Bhadrachalam Pushkar Ghat was recorded at 54.40 feet at 10 am with the discharge of 14, 06,363 cusecs of water, informed the Central Water Commission (CWC) officials.

This is the second time



the river Godavari had crossed the third warning level at Bhadrachalam within a week’s time. The river has touched the third warning level on August 16.

In view of the increasing water level the District Collector MV Reddy directed the flood duty officers to be geared up to face any emergency and to carry out the relief measures.
