Godse Sitting in Gandhi Bhavan: KTR

Thu 05 Oct 2023, 12:03:52
"Congress is an old fox that has failed 11 times and could do nothing for people in 60 years," said BRS working president and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao.

In a fresh salvo, he said Punjab’s former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh had written a letter to Sonia Gandhi, asking her why ‘RSS leader’ Revanth Reddy was made the chief of the Congress Party in Telangana.

Talking about Revanth Reddy, KTR said, "Godse is sitting in Gandhi Bhavan."

"Revanth Reddy is a leader who said three hours’ current supply was sufficient for the farmers in our state," said KTR.

He asked the people to recollect the Congress days when farmers were deprived of many benefits, apart from situations of power cuts and water shortage, inadequate supply of seeds and fertilizers, etc.

KTR addressed a public meeting in Banswada town of Kamareddy district on Wednesday.

He said Revanth Reddy was engaging in dishonest activities by "selling" Congress party’s poll tickets for personal gain.

"A Congress member attempted suicide by jumping into Hussain Sagar Lake after feeling upset over the party's refusal to grant him a ticket and instead, those like Revant Reddy ‘selling’ tickets to others."

"Congress leaders like Komati Reddy Venkat said that he would resign if we prove that our government is providing electricity without any interruption for all the 24 hours every day in TS. We will

arrange buses for all the Congress leaders. Let them come and hold current wires and check for themselves," he said.

KTR said the Congress and the BJP were unable to digest the fact that the farmers' lives were improving in Telangana.

KTR said that BJP was bringing money from Adani and Congress was bringing money from Karnataka to win the elections and defeat KCR in Telangana. "The BJP and Congress work together and the best example could be the Nizamabad MP election where they coordinated well and shared their votes," he said.

The minister told the voters to accept money from Congress and BJP leaders during the assembly elections but vote for the BRS.

Highlighting the welfare schemes of the BRS government, KTR said KCR had, in the past nine years, introduced farmer-friendly schemes such as Rythu Bandhu, and Rythu Bheema and supported weaker sections by introducing the Kalyana Lakshmi programme and distributed KCR kits.

He added that KCR had set up 1001 Gurukula schools in the state. The CM will be launching a breakfast scheme for children on Oct 6, 2023, he said.

"The state will progress only under the KCR government that works for the welfare of all," he said.

KTR asked people of Banswada to give one lakh majority to assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy in the next elections. Jukkal MLA Hanumanth Shinde and others were present.
