The gold prices in Hyderabad experienced a significant surge on Friday, reaching the third-highest rate recorded this year.

The price of 24-carat gold per 10 grams rose to Rs 74,450, marking an increase of Rs 1,300 from Thursday’s rate of Rs 73,150. Similarly, 22-carat gold prices saw an increase, with the rate per 10 grams reaching Rs 68,250, up by Rs 1,200 from the previous day’s Rs 67,050.

Over the past few weeks, gold rates have experienced a fall fluctuating around Rs 70,000 for 10 grams of 24-carat gold and

approximately Rs 66,000 for 10 grams of 22-carat gold. This upward trend follows a volatile period for gold prices from August 13 to September 13, driven by global economic uncertainty and fluctuating demand.

The highest price for 24-carat gold was recorded on May 20, when it touched Rs 75,160, followed by another peak of Rs 75,000 on July 17.

Meanwhile, silver prices in the city also experienced a sharp rise on Friday, with the price per kilogram climbing to Rs 95,000, up by Rs 3,500 from Thursday’s rate of Rs 91,500.
