In a video message posted after he met with Finance Minister T Harish Rao in the morning that set off speculation that Raja Singh could be considering joining the BRS party, the Goshamahal MLA said: "I will always be in the BJP party and will die in the BJP party. But if the BJP does not lift my suspension, I will quit politics. I will take up dharmic activities and work towards making India a Hindu Rashtra. I am not leaving the BJP and I will not be joining any
other political party."
Raja Singh was suspended from the BJP in August of last year after some controversial remarks on Islam.
He said his meeting with Harish Rao was about development in Goshamahal constituency, and funds for various development works in his constituency.
He said "Since 2014 since I won as an MLA, I Have been raising some issues relating to Dhoolpet are development, and a 30 or a 40-bed hospital in Dhoolpet. I had requested Harish Rao about this hospital earlier and today in the meeting once again requested to develop the existing small government hospital into a model hospital. Harish Rao said he will extend every possible cooperation and will send a team of officials for an inspection."
