Deputy Chief Minister
K Srihari on Friday addressed a meeting of residential and model schools
principals in Hyderabad where he announced that the residential schools will be
upgraded as junior colleges and the vacant posts will be filled up next Academic
Year.
Stating that the
government plans to introduce grading system next year, he said that despite
having
qualified teachers, the government-run schools are behind the corporate
schools in various aspects and instructed the teachers to review the situation.
The Deputy CM also informed that the government is yet to take a decision on conducting Eamcet next Academic year and added that the students would not be affected due to any decision to be taken in this regard.
